The gear that I use for working
Often, I get asked about the gear that I use.
I've got to admit that mostly equipment issues have been a way of procrastinating for me. When I started out my 100 video blogs a year challenge, I spent the first two months trying to find the perfect spot and perfect gear for doing it.
I've got to admit that mostly equipment issues have been a way of procrastinating for me. When I started out my 100 video blogs a year challenge, I spent the first two months trying to find the perfect spot and perfect gear for doing it.
I failed because I spent my time researching instead of doing. Finally I got started with just my iPhone front camera.
...And I invite you to do the same! When you find yourself researching for the perfect gear, watch this video first! Then, if you still feel like you need equipment, you can check out the ones that I use. (Yes, these are Amazon Affiliate links, so I get few cents if you purchase something using these links... So thank you) |

Shooting videos
For Fast Setup: Huawei Tripod - Selfie Stick
I still shoot most of my videos on iPhone. It has by far the easiest and really fast auto focus, the video lighting is amazing and it even shoots 4K video with more ease than most DSLR:s. For shooting vids for both TikTok and Youtube I mostly use this versatile and pocketable tripod. |
For Legendary Lighting: Yongnuo YN608 - Ring Light
Thinking about the quality of videos that I shoot, the lighting is waaaay more important than the camera itself. This was a great bargain for my personal purposes. It's not really portable, but a great tool for a home studio. Gives a great and even light on the face and makes your eyes look nice too! When on the go, I shoot videos next to a window and let the natural light fall from the side. |
For Epic Audio: Saramonic Blink 500 B6
I believe that the tech should be as hassle free as possible. With this device I can rightly say that absolutely no technical understanding about wireless audio is required to operate this device! This device is fast to setup, is incredibly lightweight and uItracompact. And what's most important is an easy-to-use 2-person wireless microphone system that connects to any device using USB-C. In addition the Blink 500 system expands over time with new devices! |
For Podcasting Studio: Blue Yeti USB Mic
When we record podcasts or group conversations this microphone is the go-to device! It has different modes for even recording surround stereo audio! In addition to that the microphone quality and adjustable gain has given an outstandin opportunity to record even high quality ASMR :D The device connects with USB to basically any computer or tablet. |
